    I bought this globe to use for homeschool purposes and I am so pleased with the quality. It's definitely worth the money. I read all the reviews on this globe and on Replogle's Traveler. I liked the Traveler but was concerned about the reportedly flimsy holder, since I was getting this for my boys. There weren't many reviews on this one but the stand and holder are metal so I hoped it would hold up to "fast spinning". I wasn't disappointed. It has never wobbled and has proven to be very durable and well made. I love how the countries, states and territories are different colors and clearly marked. We've had no difficulty locating the areas we are studying in school. The raised relief gives it an added tactile quality that makes the globe seem more "real". The only problem I've found with it is that everyone in the family wants to "play" with it at the same time!

            My husband is a history "nut" and always needs a globe and atlas to check out where things are located. This will work fine for him. It sits out in our family room. I only wish it looked a little more "upscale."
