Pattern veneers, inlays, and matched veneer drawer fronts are a few characters that set these collections apart from the rest. The multistep finishing process begins with hand-selected veneers and involves as many as seven different spray applications and as many as eight additional hand applications. Together, these layers create a high-luster finish that accentuates the wood veneers. All finishes are lead-free, child-safe, and meet U.S. safety requirements.
Dependable Bed Construction: All Elite Collections beds feature metal connectors that prevent unintentional rail detachment and provide strength and lasting durability. Slat roll mattress support systems come standard with bunk beds, loft beds, and platform beds to provide reliable mattress support without the need for a box spring or bunkie board. Each slat fastens with a screw, which increases the structural integrity of the bed. Most twin- and full-size Elite Collections beds have underbed storage options, including deep drawers or dual-function trundle/storage units that take advantage of unused space under the bed. All bunk beds and loft beds comply with all ASTM consumer safety standards. Bunk bed ladders and guardrails attach with metal screws and metal-to-metal fasteners for superior strength and security.
Solid case construction: Each case in Lea's Elite Collections is constructed with a hardwood frame for extra durability. Protective panels between each drawer help keep clothes dust-free. Back panels are recessed and attached by screws, which provides more strength and structural integrity than stapled-on back panels. Anti-tip restraint kits secure the case to the wall to prevent tipping. They are included with all cases 30 inches tall or taller.
Superior drawer construction: Elite Collections case pieces have drawers of exceptional strength and durability. All of the drawers feature traditional English dovetail construction on drawer fronts and drawer backs, providing more strength and durability than commonly used French dovetail or box joints. Drawer parts are hand-sanded and finished with a stained, protective topcoat to create a smooth, snag-free interior. Drawer bottoms are reinforced by corner blocks and center rails for greater stability.
The drawers operate smoothly on full-extension drawer guides with steel ball bearings that provide easy, one-handed operation and greater drawer stability than standard center-mounted drawer guides. Because the drawers extend completely out of the case, you have easier access to the contents of the drawer - even way in the back. Automatic drawer stops prevent drawers from falling out of the case. Select drawers include special features, such as aromatic cedar bottoms or removable drawer dividers to help organize drawer contents.
