Description

Bring the Hanover Student Desk with Optional Hutch to your home to give yourself and your kids a nice spot to study, pay the bills, and write letters. Constructed of solid wood and wood veneers, this desk is built to last. It features a cherry finish to give it a classic, warm look. The desk features two easy-glide drawers with beveled fronts and simple silver drawer pulls. All you'll need to do is attach the legs and this desk is ready for use.


The optional hutch is crafted from matching materials and features a matching finish. It also offers two drawers with silver pulls as well as an open storage space perfect for paper and note cards. The hutch also features a wire management opening to keep electrical cords straight and out of the way.

The style of this desk is clean, so it is versatile and easily fits into most decors. It was fairly easy to put together--I did it by myself. It is nice and sturdy and I am very happy with the purchase. It is a medium sized desk and fits great in the corner of living room as an additional desk for the laptop computer my husband has. The style also would make it usefull as an occassional table if we would have a party --it is so versatile in style--it does not scream out desk. The only small complaints that I have are that the drawers are so easily pulled out, that my 15 month old finds it quite easy to open them up. The chair works for now to block them, but not sure how long it will be before she figures out how to move chair. The other small complaint is that the drawer pulls are pretty contemporary looking and my furniture is traditional, so I am trying to find more aged bronze looking pulls, but have yet to find any replacements, may just live with them or paint them, not sure.
The Madison chair goes great with this desk.

    [...] It took less than 15 minutes for me to assemble the desk so I was pleased about that as well. It is heavier than I expected (not a bad thing) and fits perfectly in my office/craft area of my basement office. It is the perfect style and height for me to work on paperwork, bills, filing, etc and I am pleased with the overall look. It isn't big and bulky and take up a lot of space. Two criticisms are: the finish is smooth in some areas and a little rough in others along the desk top. I personally don't mind because it is in my basement office and will be covered by a small desk calendar but if I intended to place it upstairs where it would be on display I would possibly reconsider. It doesn't bother me enough to repackage and send back for a replacement. Secondly is the price. I think it could've been priced about $50 less than what was charged after seeing the desk in person.
